Arrival by Car
Begin your journey from Germany through the cities of Munich, Rosenheim, and Innsbruck (AT), heading south towards Italy. Take the Brenner Motorway A22 and exit at Brixen/Pustertal Valley. Continue towards Bruneck, from where you will branch off into the Ahrntal Valley. After passing the town of Mühlen in Taufers, turn left into the Mühlwalder Valley. From here, continue along the road for another 7.5 km until you reach the village centre of Mühlwald, passing the church and the Despar store. From there, follow the mountain road uphill for about 1.5 km until you arrive at the Hopfgartnerhof.
If you are coming from the south, drive through Modena, Verona, and Bolzano, and take the Brixen/Pustertal Valley exit on the Brenner Motorway A22. Continue towards Bruneck, from where you will branch off into the Ahrntal Valley. After passing the town of Mühlen in Taufers, turn left into the Mühlwalder Valley. From here, continue along the road for another 7.5 km until you reach the village centre of Mühlwald, passing the church and the Despar store. From there, follow the mountain road uphill for about 1.5 km until you arrive at the Hopfgartnerhof.
In winter, winter tires are mandatory, and snow chains should also be carried in the vehicle to ensure a safe arrival.
Arrival by Train and Bus
Travel by train from Germany through Munich, Innsbruck, and Brenner to Fortezza. There, change to the Pustertal Valley train to Bruneck. Upon arrival in Bruneck, switch from train to a bus heading towards Ahrntal. In Mühlen in Taufers, take the new bus connection through the picturesque Mühlwalder Valley to the village of Mühlwald. From there, follow the road past the church and the Despar store, continuing uphill for approximately 2 km until you reach the Hopfgartnerhof.
Travel by train from Italy through Bologna, Verona, and Trento to Bolzano. From there, take the train towards Brenner, change at Fortezza to the Pustertal Valley train until Bruneck. Upon arrival in Bruneck, switch from train to a bus heading towards Ahrntal. In Mühlen in Taufers, take the new bus connection through the picturesque Mühlwalder Valley to the village of Mühlwald. From there, follow the road past the church and the Despar store, continuing uphill for approximately 2 km until you reach the Hopfgartnerhof.
